Hi! I’m Sofia — a Digital Journalism and Psychology student at Syracuse University with a passion for storytelling that blends words and visuals. I’m currently a Renee Crown University Honors and Leadership Scholar at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where I’ve immersed myself in everything from writing cultural features to designing digital art.
My editorial experience spans both print and digital media. I’ve written over a dozen published articles as an editorial intern at PaperCity Magazine, where I worked alongside industry leaders like Caitlin Hsu and Catherine Anspon. On campus, I contribute to the Daily Orange and University Girl Magazine, diving into stories that spotlight art, identity, and creative communities.
In my extra time I'm a barista back home in Houston, a member of the Syracuse ski team, and Sigma Delta Tau sorority. Whether I’m writing, designing, or connecting with others, I bring energy, empathy, and a thoughtful eye to everything I do.
I am also excited to announce that I will be interning with Drunk Elephant in the Houston office this upcoming summer!
